Wisconsin NAELA is a professional association that provides continuing legal education and advocacy to promote and protect the needs of seniors and people with disabilities in Wisconsin. Wisconsin NAELA supports member attorneys throughout the state of Wisconsin who are committed to the practice of elder and special needs law. As President, Jessica will lead an organization of 164 attorneys, making it the 6th largest state chapter of NAELA in the United States.

Carol Wessels Selected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA)

NAELA Fellows are attorneys who have been members of the Academy for at least three years, whose careers concentrate on elder law and/or special needs planning, and who have distinguished themselves both by making exceptional contributions to meeting the needs of older Americans and by demonstrating commitment to the Academy. Election as a Fellow signifies that the lawyer is recognized by peers as a model for others, and an exceptional lawyer and leader. Carol is one of only 4 Fellows in the entire state of Wisconsin.
Carol Wessels receives the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Notorious Servant Award
October 2022
The RBG Notorious Servant award is awarded by the Women’s Caucus of the Wisconsin Association for Justice to a woman “who goes above and beyond the practice of law to give back to their communities and lift up other women.”
Carol was accepted for membership in the Special Needs Alliance, a national organization of attorneys committed to the practice of disability and public benefits law. You can visit the SNA website here.
